While characterized to be a Pokémon known for their ruthlessness when it comes to winning, Golisopod is more than that. Outside of battle the behemoth of a bug (bughemoth?) has a gentler and more caring side. Often times holding less than contentious feelings for those even his trainer reviles. He's a sociable sort, and greatly adores humans. Maybe especially the rowdy and angry ones. Can't imagine why!
As much as he might have different opinions than his trainer at times, he is utterly loyal and dedicated to him. If his actions ever seem contrary to Guzma's, it's because he is acting in his best interest. Regardless of whether or not Guzma realizes it. The best way to get on this bug's shit list is to hurt Guzma in any way (even if it's deserved). An otherwise calm and gentle giant will turn into a goddamn nightmare in a moment's notice, and that ruthlessness his type is known for will be made abundantly obvious.
