[The lizard listens, his head following each point of instruction, bouncing from one to the other to the next, but once she finished explaining, he gives her his own nod! Along with a trill of delight as he sets himself up to work on the task he's been given, almost seeming excited to do it!

However, when Lucina catches Guzma's gaze and subsequently her face flushes, Guzma's eyebrows raise a little. She's quick to get him that ice, and he turns to face her more fully when she offers it. Taking it, he holds it to his nose with a slight hiss.]

Not as bad as before, still stings a li'l though. But you're right, don't need my nose to get any bigger, huh?

[A little self-deprecating joke never hurt no one!]

But more seriously...y'know, you're real good with Pokémon. It's a shame you ain't from my world.

[Well, that's not the only reason it's a shame, but still.]

[her brow pinches with empathy at the pained sound, and she has to actively fold her hands behind her to keep from reaching up to fuss at his face on impulse. she shakes her head a little at the dig, not very enthused by the notion of his nose being all warped out of shape; she likes it as-is!

but more seriously, he says. her head tilts, eyebrows lifting. at the remark, she blinks, then shies away with a smile, shaking her head as she turns around and heads back to go get some water in that pot.]

I don't know if I'd be half as decent at it if I were. I bet I'd take much of that place for granted, if it was all I knew.

But then again... [she turns the faucet off, shrugging as she moves the pot over to the stove.] Maybe I'd have a better idea of how to properly attend to Pokemon, instead of just winging it all the time as I do.

[maybe then Pinsir would like her!!!! instead of being..................................Pinsir.]

[Lucina really shouldn't worry about Pinsir. He's...he's just himself, and that's all there is to be said about that.

Her reaction is a sweet one, and Guzma can't help but smile at it, even if his poor nose throbs a bit under the pressure.]

You don't really strike me as someone who takes shit for granted. You've never done that with me.

[He shrugs.]

You do better wingin' it than a lot of trainers who've lived their whole lives around Pokémon. I think you're a natural.

[He glances to Salandit, who is happily attending to his slicing chores with a glow of pride. A glow of pride that Guzma hasn't even seen in response to Tupp's own interactions with his Pokémon...]

[it's obvious that the remark pleases her by the way she smiles, even if she's naturally moved to obscure it and look away. can't look too far away when having to pay attention to the stove, though! so there it is, small though it may be.]

I'm glad you think so. I'd be a real pain if I wasn't, right? [she knows she can be a pain in a lot of ways as it is; no need to add to the list.] But speaking of Pokemon...

[she glances over her shoulder to the chopping table, calling to the lizard.] How're we looking over there? I hope all that'll be ready once this water's boiling!
