her face reddens as she tries to affix a flat look, scoffing and lifting her hand away from Golisopod to poke Guzma under the chin and turn his head away.]

Honestly...!

[keyword: tries. her mouth is twitching at one corner, threatening to break her expression.]

[She does indeed try. But it's not his chin she catches—in fact she doesn't catch anything at all! Because Guzma tilts his head down just enough and catches her finger into his mouth, playfully clamping his teeth down on it. Not enough to hurt her, but enough to hold it there.

She should know better than to put her hand in a wild animal's face, ok!!]

[fauxmarth]

[the rare Lucina-squeak as his gentle chomp surprises her. glowing red, she wriggles her hand to try and pull it free, a self-conscious laugh leaving her despite herself.]

C-come now! What'll I do as a swordswoman with no fingers?

[golisolation]

Mmhmmhm!

[That's hummed with the same inflection that "I don't know" has. But he doesn't seem keen to let go, he even wiggles his tongue against her finger tip to mess with her even more.

Lucina, this is the man you want to marry.]

[at no point did anyone claim she was smart, okay, so this tracks.]

Hey!! [ew!

the real crime here is having to disengage Golisopod scritches so she can shift, leaning back into the crook of Guzma's arm, so she can properly address this tomfoolery. she gives his nose a pinch.]

You let go now!

[golisolation]

[That earns her a disappointed whine from Golisopod, who is now staring at the two with what can only be described as a pout. But hey, the nose pinch works, and Guzma releases her finger with a chuckle.]

That's what ya get for tryin' to poke my face, yo!

[Guzma barely gets that out before Golisopod slumps himself forward, effectively placing his head in both of their laps. He wants atteeeentionnnn!!!]

[fauxmarth]

Duly noted! [finger freed, she huffs, smiling, and rests a hand atop Golisopod's head. she hears you!!] I've learned another new thing today: Big, bad Guzma is a biter.

[golisolation]

Yeah, he is.

[He chuckles lightly, bringing his hand up to stroke at her hair a little absently while Golisopod rumbles out a pleased sound at her touch.]

But he's down to bitin' more interestin' things than just fingers.

[fauxmarth]

[she makes a thoughtful, drawn-out sound at that while absently scratching at Golisopod's cheek. er, what passes for a cheek. whatever. BUGS!!!!!!! she tilts her head toward his hand -- this is some kind of weird chain of people getting head pats, isn't it.]

I can only imagine. You don't seem to mind bites, yourself.

[golisolation]

[It's fine, they can casually talk about this stuff while chain-petting one another. For what it's worth, Golisopod is only paying attention to the attention Lucina's giving him.]

Yeah. What can I say? I like it a li'l rough sometimes.

[fauxmarth]

[yeah, she thinks flatly, and winding up in a neckbrace...

that thought makes her sigh and shake her head slightly, her eyes cast down toward the Pokemon.]

I know. I'll just need to further master my strength before I can really be certain I'm not going to do you lasting harm. You certainly won't say so.

[golisolation]

I ain't seein' what the problem is, we got healers.

[That's besides the point, Guzma... Golisopod, however, has closed his eyes once more, and while he's not asleep, he's very visibly relaxed. That shiny shell definitely does a good job of reflecting her and Guzma in its surface.]

[fauxmarth]

I-I don't like the idea of hurting you to the point of having to ask a healer. Or visit a hospital again... [it just invites more people into their relationship in a sense, and the internet's already got enough as far as she's concerned!!]

[golisolation]

We ain't gotta tell 'em what happened!

[Besides the point again.]

But s'fine. We can take it slow. [He leans over to place a kiss on the top of her head.]

[fauxmarth]

[the kiss mollifies her, though she still pouts a bit at his bit of a handwave. despite her reluctance, she does want to make him happy! even if that involves some extremes.

she'd rather it not be too much, lest she be reminded of how badly he banged himself up there on that yacht.

before he can slump back, she lifts her head and gives him a little nuzzle with her nose and a peck on his cheek and then lets her head rest back against his shoulder, her eyes flickering to that distorted reflection on Golisopod's shell.

slow...would be nice. she hopes the world will let them set that pace.]
