[His throat is tight, and as Lucina pleads with him, his chest grows tighter. He does stop, but he doesn't look at her. There's too much going on in that head of his, too much anger...and he knows if he stays here for too long, he's gonna cause more damage and Lucina doesn't deserve that.

When he talks, his voice sounds strained.]

Luke told me he's been actin' sweet on you. Didn't care that we're datin'. Asked me for a beat down the next time I see him, and I ain't carin' to leave that to random chance. I'm gonna be expeditin' his request.

[hearing that, she goes cold all over again, her heart sinking into her stomach. fear, confusion, dismay...even anger, it all seems to compact together densely and heavily in her. she lets him walk away from her and out of the house while her head starts to fill up, replaying all the memories with Luke she's had that she can recall on the spot, trying to slapdash inspect them for clues and signs she should've known. where was the point she messed up? didn't make something clear? he knew she was with Guzma. yet despite that...?

before too long, her thoughts strayed back to when Luke had sneaked a kiss on her -- a gesture she thought meant out of fidelity -- comfort during a time of loss. she thinks of it again in light of this and almost wants to cry out of frustration.
